John has more than 17 years experience of fundraising both nationally and internationally and has been Director of Fundraising for Children’s Aid Director and Habitat for Humanity International.

Richard Turner is currently Director of Fundraising at ActionAid. He has over 15 years experience as a fundraiser including eight years with Oxfam. In 2001 he received the award of Institute of Fundraising Professional Fundraiser of the Year in recognition of his work at FARM-Africa (which was also awarded “Best Fundraising Strategy” in 2002). With Fauna & Flora International he was responsible for developing their fundraising strategy and major gift centenary appeal and at Cascaid he worked on the fundraising programmes of many different clients both large and small. Richard joined ActionAid in January 2007.
